The Origin of the Temple and the Views of Devotees
According to the locals, initially, there was a rock on the temple site. It was discovered by a saint who came all the way from Northern India. This wandering saint was the person who manifested Sri Veeranjaneya Swamy in the form of Swayambhu on this very rock.
With the recognition of the divine presence, worship started at the site. Over time, devotees came from far and wide to experience the strong spiritual vibrations and the miracles many people witnessed. This led to the gradual development of a formal structure, and a temple was erected over time around the sacred rock.
