According to the Commissioner of Police, section 144 will be imposed on Monday of 6th December in city in order to prevent the all public processions, dharnas, rallies, public meetings, carrying of arms, lathis or any other such type of things. 6th December is marked as the anniversary of the Babri Masjid demolition in 1992.
Police officers on duty, military personnel on duty, home guards on duty and funeral processions are excepted from this section.
Thirty platoons of the rapid action force and AP special police will be used along with existing police staff.
