20 Jul 11: Aadhar cards which provides unique ID number are a must for every citizen to avail various benefits of various state government welfare schemes such as ration, pension, Indiramma housing, Aarogyasri, scholarships, etc. The government has aimed to complete the total enrollment process of citizens by the end on next March. As soon as the total enrollment process is completed, the card will be made mandatory to be avail various welfare benefits. The card is also used as ID proof for getting various certificates, licenses, passports, etc. as acts as a basis for recognition of an individual as Indian citizen.
The list of Aadhar centers and their contact numbers can be obtained from websites www.apcivilsupplies.gov.in or www.aadhar.ap.gov.in. Aadhar applications can be obtained from Aadhar centers, fair price shops, circle offices and gas distribution agencies.
Authorities have said that the colonies which have around 200 families and have not enrolled for the Aadhar card can approach the civil supplies department to request them to set up a temporary Aadhar center in their vicinity. The department has also called for various retired employees to carry out the enrollment processes at the Aadhar centers as there is a lack of man power to set up more centers and to speed up the process. They told that the employees will be suitably compensated.
