Opening of the new bridge at Lakdikapul is a sigh of relief to thousands of motorists who get stuck in traffic at Lakdikapul. The new parallel road bridge was inaugurated by the Chief Minister on February 8th.
The construction of the two-lane parallel bridge was built by the South Central Railway and the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.
Motorists coming by three major roads from Secunderabad, Nampally and Khairatabad, going towards Ameerpet, Begumpet, Masab Tank, Mehdipatnam and Banjara Hills get stuck in traffic because the stretch at Lakdikapul had become a bottleneck.
The new bridge will ease the traffic congestion problem for those going towards Khairatabad and Masab Tank as the traffic gets divided between the two-lane parallel bridge.
