The APSRTC decided not to charge a toll user fee from daily travelers usually for work who travel within the limitations of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.

The RTC used to collect Rs 2 in palle velugu (ordinary buses) and also Rs 2 in metro buses in the pattern of a toll user fee along with the bus ticket. This extra money was remitted to the toll gate operators.

As the RTC has encountered many complaints regarding the extra burden of this fee from travelers, the officials have appealed the toll gate operators not to charge the toll user fee.

The APSRTC Hyderabad regional manager said that conductors have been asked not to acquire a toll fee from passengers. This will be implemented from April 1, 2010.
