Project Dial 100 has been launched by state government. The project will work by collaboration between AP Police and GVKEMRI, the emergency services provider.

The project’s objective is to integrate the best practices in emergency management and would make it sure to deliver service to people across the State.

When any needy citizen irrespective of location across the state dials the number 100, a GVK EMRI personnel in Hyderabad attends the call and alerts the police in any part of the state. The response time for the complaint is to be 40 seconds.

The system under the project will have GPS/GIS server connected to a digital map of the state. This will enable the authorities at the centralized call centre to know where the caller is.
