Intermediate First Year Results Released

Board of Intermediate Education (BIE), AP declared the results of first year intermediate public examination on 21 April’13. Girls have done better with 59.46% passed, than boys, whose percentage is 50.22. The highlights were as follows.

  • In vocational courses too girls have done better than boys with percentages 55.66 and 38.93 respectively.
  • In all, 8,91,337 candidates passed the exam which is 54.605 of total candidates Applied and in vocational courses of 94,285 candidates 46.54% have passed the exam.
  • There is an improvement 0.85% in the number of candidates passing the exam compared to last ear.
  • 43.06% got A grade(75% or more), 32.21% got B grade, (60-75%), 16.97% got C grade and 7.76% got D grade.
  • 179 candidates in general category and 28 candidates in vocational courses were booked for malpractice.
  • The results of three candidates in general category and 99 candidates in vocational courses have been withheld.
  • Krishna district topped in the results with 74% and the percentages for others were as follows. The figures in brackets indicate the corresponding percentage.
    • Visakhapatnam (66), Nellore (64), Ranga Reddy (64), Guntur (63), Chittoor (58), West Godavari (58), Hyderabad (55), East Godavari (54), Prakasam (53), Srikakulam (52), Kurnool (52), Khammam (51), Kadapa (50), Vizianagaram (49) Adilabad (48), Karimnagar (47), Warangal (46), Anantapur (45), Medak (41), Nizamabad (41), Nalgonda (41) and Mahabubnagar registered the lower passing percentage of 40.
  • In vocational courses, Srikakulam topped with 65% and the corresponding percentages for others was as follows. The figures in brackets indicate the corresponding percentage.
    • Krishna (62), Nellore (61), Chittoor (58), Guntur (56), Visakhapatnam (55), Kurnool (53), Adilabad (52), Anantapur (51), Vizianagaram (50), Kadapa (49), Nalgonda (49), Hyderabad (49), East Godavari (46), West Godavari (46), Prakasam (46), Medak (43), Ranga Reddy (43), Khammam (42), Warangal (39), Nizamabad (35), Mahabubnagar (31) and Karimnagar (30).
  • The principals of colleges need to collect Mark Registers from RIO immediately and display in the colleges. They can collect the memoranda of marks form RIOs on April 26 and give the candidates as early as possible.
  • For issues, found in the Memorandum of Marks needs to be referred to BIE, via principles of the colleges before May 22.
  • The closing date for payment of examination fee for Inter Advanced Supplementary Examinations, May/June 2013 is May 3 with no provision of allowing after the date.
  • For candidate having passed all papers wishing to improve can apply with Rs 100 per paper along with exam fee.
  • Candidates having failed in first year can sit for passed papers of first year can appear for the exam along with failed papers provided they sacrifice the previous performance in the passed papers.
  • The Intermediate Public Advanced Supplementary Examinations, May/June 2013 is going to be held from May 22.
