Traffic misery faced by IT (Information Technolgy) and ITeS professionals working in Gachibowli and Madhapur will not be seen anymore as the flyover which is under construction near Hi-Tec City junction is nearing its completion. The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority is planning plans to open the flyover for traffic by May ending.
HMDA had designed the four-lane flyover to reduce the traffic congestion present near the Hi-Tec City junction. Citizens traveling between Kukatpally, Miyapur and its adjacent areas and Madhapur will have more benefit as the flyover decreases traveling time to seven minutes.
Civil works for the flyover, which is 480 metres long and 15 metres wide, were started in 2008 with a budget of Rs 21.68 crores.
Work on two ramps that has been proposed to be constructed at Kukatpally (spinal road) and Cyber Towers Gate are under construction. The ramp at Kukatpally would be completed by May first week, whereas the ramp at Cyber Towers Gate would be ready within a week.
