The much-anticipated super speciality hospital worth Rs. 430 crore for employees insured under Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) will be constructed on the campus of ESI Hospital Sanathnagar.
The ESI authorities notified that trivial hurdles which delayed the project have been resolved and works associated with the new facility were being accelerated.
The Minister for Cooperation, Labour, Employment, Training and Factories said that the government had also permitted 130 additional posts of doctors and 500 paramedical staff solely for Sanathnagar ESI hospital. Till recently, the hospital had bed strength of 300, now it will be increased to 400 beds and urgently required extra workforce to take care of too much inflow of patients. Minister said that the government would also further open up ESI clinics at the district level, which would include minimum 3,000 persons. (Source: The Hindu)
