It is very painful to hear that many schools in the state capital, Hyderabad are diminishing and most of them do not have water in the washrooms. If you think it is your moral responsibility to help the government schools in the city, it is the right time to sponsor a school. Moreover the school will be named after you if you do so!
A central government sponsored programme Sarva Siksha Abhiyan (SSA) provides funds to improve infrastructure in schools. Inspite of this, many government schools have been functioning either in rented buildings or in dilapidated buildings in the city.
Today there are about 800 odd schools in the city. Recently 280 schools were shut down to reduce the number of schools. Sources said that 30-odd schools were constructed and construction of the remaining schools has not been not taken up till now.
The district administrations have taken this as a serious issue and invited NGOs and individuals to sponsor the schools.
