Some of the businessmen gave complaints to the chief Minister about tax official’s corruption and unnecessary interface. To make work easy for traders, certain administrative reforms are initiated in the commercial tax department. Businessmen will be allowed by the new initiatives to operate their business with out visiting tax offices.
Everything from filing sales tax returns to getting bills to move goods can be done online, no need to take the permission of the concerned officer from tax department.
Commissioner of commercial taxes said that dealers had to go to the nearest commercial tax office and they used to face different problems. But now, no need to go the tax office. Dealers can delivery the C forms and VAT way bills through online and now a requisition can be made by the dealers for the forms by paying the fee with their credit cards. Courier will deliver the forms within three days. Transparency will be increased and corruption will be reduced by the reducing unnecessary interference between the businessmen and officers. A tremendous response is received by the recent e-return initiative, by which dealers were facilitated to file their returns from their work place. Turnover returns were filled by 35,000 dealers without visiting the tax office.
The department is planning to start the e-payments. By this system, taxes can be paid by the dealer online who have the account with SBI and SBH. Orders which were passed by the different officials, can be seen by the dealers and get the copies to use the benefits.
