The fifth World Telecommunication Development Conference is to be held from 24th May to 4th June at International Convention Centre (HICC), in Hyderabad. Priorities will be identified by this meeting for the development of telecommunications and information and communication technologies (ICTs). Various facets of the telecommunication industry will be focused on this meeting, and including the convergence of ICT.
This event will witness for action plan which was adopted by Hyderabad, future activities of the ITU Telecommunication Development sector (ITU-D) over the next four year period. High level representatives of Ministers and CEOs will dedicate several sessions of the conference to policy statements in the first two days of WTDC-10.
A declaration, a strategic plan and action plan will be adopted by WTDC-10, which will construct the way to building on the foundations of a global information society. Numerous programmes and projects of the sector and BDT are reviewed by this conference. conference reports results and launches new projects.
Agenda is set by World conference and also set guidelines for the following four cycle, it ensures the goals are met while the “work in progress” is reviewed by Regional conferences towards the overall objectives. The countries are brought together by each Regional Preparatory Meeting in its region to explore and discuss their needs and the present and future projects of the sector.
