As the number of candidates applying for driving licenses is increasing day by day, the RTA officials are finding it difficult to accommodate them because of the limited testing tracks. On an average an individual has to wait for 1 and a half month from the day of registration to give his test. To reduce the number of people in the waiting list, RTA is now planning to come up with new testing tracks apart from the existing tracks at its centers in Nagole, Kondapur, Uppal and Medchal. Already a new track was established at Uppal, with a new track coming in next month in Medchal. According to officials, each extra track can accommodate 56 applicants per day. The officials are also planning to re-open the RTA center at Secunderabad, so as to make it convenient for the applicants residing in the center of the city.
