State Government to Give Grades to Engineering Colleges

The State government formed a high power committee to grade the existing 700 engineering colleges in the state based on the aspects such as infrastructure, library, faculty, placements, facilities, value-added services and collaboration with foreign universities. This whole process is likely to be completed by month-end. According to students and parents, grading of engineering colleges is the need of the hour, as with every passing year the number of colleges are increasing, due to lucid regulations concerned with establishing of colleges. Thus, it has become difficult for students to choose the best one. This grading is in addition to present grading by NBA (National Board of Accreditation).
