Though the works of PV Narasimha Rao Elevated Expressway, are still pending, HMDA (Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority), which took up the project at a budget of Rs.600 crore, wrote a letter to GHMC to take up the regular maintenance of PVNR flyover and Indra Reddy flyover at Langer Houze. The two flyovers were made open to public in October 2009 and May 2010, respectively. Total of 6 ramps are to be laid on the expressway, with 2 completed (down ramp at Upperpally and up ramp at Aramghar) and 4 remaining (two ramps at Laxmi nagar, up ramp at Upperpally and down ramp at Aramghar).

The GHMC sent reply to HMDA rejecting the request, stating the reason that it is mandatory to maintain the flyovers by the contractors for at least two years after construction. Earlier, GHMC had taken the responsibility of regular maintenance of 10 flyovers constructed by HMDA in 2007. It is said that it even repaired few problems of Telugu Talli flyover last year.
