Coloured Water in Few Areas of City Found Safe to Drink

The areas under Mir Alam Filter Service area, like Jahnuma, Daraulshifa, Bahadurpura, Ziaguda, etc. were recently supplied with coloured drinking water. Responding to the complaints from the residents, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board, had conducted chemical analysis and found no harmful bacteria in the water. It said that the water is safe to drink but as a precautionary measure advised residents to boil the water before drinking. The board also advised its workers to clean the pipelines immediately the complaints are obtained.
