07 April 2011: Out of the total stretch of 158km of Outer Ring Road (ORR), 62 km of roads are done with construction. The HMDA had finalized toll rates for this completed portion of ORR, based on the travel distance. Officials have said that the toll collection will start in about 3 months, i.e. after finalizing the tenders. The toll rates will be applied to only main carriage way and no to service roads. The rates are in accordance with the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
The toll rates for different routes are as follows: Gachibowli to Andhra Pradesh Police Academy (10.5 km) is Rs.10 for cars and Rs.30 for trucks; Gachibowli to Shamshabad (22 km) is Rs.20 for cars and Rs. 60 for trucks; Gachibowli to Peddamberpet is Rs.50 for cars and Rs.170 for trucks.
