23 May 2011: In the CBSE class XII exams, the Kendriya vidyalayas in the city have obtained record pass percentages this year. Many of the city’s KV’s have scored over 90 percent marks. 15 out of 35 KV’s have recorded 100 percent marks.
The results of different KV’s in the city are as follows – KV (Picket) has scored highest percentage in the state in the science stream. KV (Begumpet) scored highest percentages in the commerce, humanities, financial marketing and the management stream. KV 2 in Golconda saw, even the below average students scoring above 60 percent and some even reached 90 percent. KV Tirumulgherry scored 100 percent marks in commerce stream in Accountancy.
Apart from that KV Dundigal (Air Force Academy), KV Gachibowli, KV Bowenpally, KV Ghatkesar, KV Yedumailaram, KV Picket and KV Golconda, have gained 100 percent pass percentages.
The pass percentages of previous years of Kendriya Vidyalayas in the city in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 are 92.58, 92.65, 93.5 and 95.8 respectively.
