22 Aug 11: The GHMC is launching the service of getting digitally signed death and birth certificates from e-Seva and citizen service centers. This facility is being launched from October 2 on a pilot basis with Hyderabad being the first city in the state to start this service.
Unlike the present system, in which the applications of the certificates at e-Seva’s are sent to GHMC to get the printed certificate which is passed through various levels to get manually signed by the officials, this new system will enable the citizens to get the digitally signed death and birth certificates on the same day itself.
