Indian Aviation is conducting its third edition of Aero Show – 2012 at the Begumpet airport in the city from March 14 to 18. This year’s International Exhibition and Conference on Civil Aviation is being jointly organized by Civil Aviation Ministry and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). This year UK is the ‘Partner Country’, France is the ‘Focus Country’ and US is the ‘Guest Country’.
The theme of this year Indian Aviation Show is ‘India: The Emerging Aviation Hub’ and will discuss on the growth opportunities in the country’s aviation sector. More than 250 exhibitors from across the world are exhibiting their products in this exhibition.
Among the various popular aircrafts displayed in the expo, Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ 100) aircrafts are the highlights of the show. The aircrafts from the stalwarts in the aviation industry like France’s Airbus’s A-318 and Brazil’s Embraer’s business jets Phenom 300, 100 and Legacy 650 are the other major attractions.
The exhibition is open for general public on the last two days. The short passenger aircraft, SSJ 100 will land on March 17. This time the department has decided not to conduct the aerobatics in wake of the accident that took place in 2010 aero show killing two navy pilots.
Further, to mark the anniversary of the Indian Civil Aviation, a postage stamp will be introduced in this show.
