The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) announced on Saturday that the city is going to have three road-under-bridges at Safilguda, Vajpayee Nagar and Anand Bagh in the next two years to ease traffic congestion in these areas.
According to the sources the roads and buildings department had already taken permission from the government and GHMC is planning to take the related works soon.
Addressing the complaints made by Malkajgiri locals on drinking water issues GHMC commissioner announced that GHMC would spend Rs.3 crore to improve drinking water facilities near the reservoir and also lay pipelines beneath the railway tracks. He further redirected the officials to sort the issue with the railway authorities and complete the pumping arrangements to improve the water supply for that area.
