In this way it will provide multiple choices to farmers for selling their livestock and ensure transparency in pricing and transactions. To ensure transparency in price fixation and competition, the auction will be performed electronically.
The officials have said that the livestock will be traded at the Terminal Market Yard and will include milch cattle, wild animals, elephants, horses, ponies, mules, dogs, donkeys, camels, sheep, goats, pigs, emu/ostrich, ducks, poultry, fish, prawns, country fowl, pet birds, laboratory animals, milk and dairy products, marine products, meat and meat products, poultry products, other livestock by-products like skins, wool, bones, horns and hoofs, and veterinary medicines and vaccines.
