Commuters on Hyderabad road are to get some reprieve. The work is on for Inter City Bus Terminal (ICBT) and two Logistic Parks.
ICBT is coming up on 55 acre site on Miyapur-Kompally Intermediate Ring Road and developed more than one lakh square feet. Once commisssioned, it will act as single stop terminus from where passengers can get buses from different destinations.
There will be 200 bus bays which are of global standards and platforms for outstation buses besides allotting parking space for 1,000 buses.
There will be 20 bus bays for city services.
Related services such as fuel stations, dormitories for drivers, police outposts for security, medical and emergency facilities coupled with budget hotels have been made.
To address freight issues in the city, the HMDA is setting up two logistic parts, one at Batasingaram on Vijayawada Highway and another at Mangalapally near ORR junction on Nagarjunasagar Highway.
The former has been proposed on 40 acres land for parking 500 trucks and warehouse with two lakh sft and a cold storage for 10,000 metric tonnes, has facilities like fuel stations and The Mangalapally freight facility has 22 acre has more than one lakh sft with parking for 250 trucks and similar ancillary facilities to those at Batasingaram on Vijayawada Highway.
In respect of tender response for public private partnership (PPP), Mumbai-based Credence Logistics and Hyderabad-based Ancon Design Group bid the highest.
