The city is expanding, new colonies are forming in most of the areas in the city and there is also a rise in number of voters in the surrounding assembly segment. The latest revision of electoral rolls that was completed on 15th January 2013, says that there are more than 3 lakh new voters in the Assembly constituencies in Greater Hyderabad.
Ranga Reddy district had maximum number of new voters in Medchal, Uppal, Serilingampally, Rajendranagar, Qutubullapur and LB Nagar Assembly segments. And the Jubilee Hills Assembly segment under the Hyderabad district had highest number of new voters – about 12,000.
There are 15 constituencies in Hyderabad district and the latest revision published on January 15, 2013, shows that there was a rise to 31,59,231 from 30,46,778 in October, 2012. The same was observed in the 14 Assembly segments of Ranga Reddy district, the new electoral increased to 42,59,388 from 39,94,850.
