The Board of Intermediate Education(BIE) started its arrangements for conducting Intermediate Exams in the State. Practical Exams scheduled from February 6th to 25th, and theoretical exams from March 6th to 23rd.
As many as 6,67,319 students including vocational stream are appearing for practical exams this year, compared to 6,33,571 appeared last year. Practical exams will be conducted at 2,814 centres, at four spells across the state. BIE officials stated that there will be jumbling system for conducting exams and also they put video cameras in examination halls to keep eye on students in the view of malpractices.
Secretary of BIE reported that a committee has been set up against malpractice and they can take any action like – re-conducting examinations, if any examination centre found guilty of fraudulent practices.
Further if 25% of the students secure 100% marks in practical exams in any of the centre or college, answer scripts of all students who appeared in that centre may be sent for re-verification. If any person or college found guilty in malpractice, committee will take appropriate action against them.
Also, students who secure 27 to 30 marks in practical exams may also face re-verification tests by the BIE. During the examinations, 24-hr special control room will be functioning.
