Secunderabad Railway Station Gets One More Escalator

The South Central Railway Station has recently inaugurated sixth escalator on platform No 2/3. These escalators help passengers, especially the sick, elderly and disabled people to easily move from one platform to another.

By the end of this month another escalator on platform 4/5 will be put up. In the last few months, five escalators have been put up for passengers use on platform No 1, 6/7, 8/9 and 10. All the platforms at Secunderabad station will have escalators, at a cost of 6.75 crore.

As there is heavy rush of passengers at platform 1 and 10 that are the main entry/exit for Secunderabad railway station, two lifts at a cost of Rs 78 lakh are provided at these platforms.
