In the coming days, Nehru Zoological park will have one pair of cheetahs and one pair of African lions. Last year, Saudi Prince gifted them to the Zoo park. According to the zoo authorities, once the quarantine period for cheetahs and lions is completed, they will be displayed for public.
Last week the zoo authorities placed two leopards and three tigers for display. A male tiger and a King cobra will be brought from Pilikula zoo within a week. New animals are expected to come to the zoo over a month. These include a few zebras and chimpanzees from Chinese Taipei zoo, three pairs of vultures are from Sakkarbaug zoo in Gujarat and two pairs of vultures are from Assam zoo.
