In the month of April maximum collections for property tax came from the Khairtabad-2 circle. Of the 18 circles of the GHMC, Khairtabad-2 tops the list with a collection of Rs.27.39 crore which is Rs.18.59 crore more than previous year’s April transactions.
After the GHMC had announced an early bird offer of 5% rebate for those who pay the property tax in April, they collected a total of Rs.109.53 crore which is 78.93 crore more than the collections made during the same period last year. In the year 2013-2014, there was a total collection of barely Rs 30.59 crore.
Of the 18 circles of the GHMC, the other toppers in the list are Kukatpally circle with Rs.10.86 crore, Secunderabad with Rs.9.54 crore and Abids-2 circle with Rs.8.73 crore. And at the bottom of the list are Ramachandrapuram circle with Rs.85 lakhs and Charminar-2 with Rs.1.69 crore.
