The Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB) is going to serve ‘form of warrant’ on property owners who have not paid the arrears pending against them. If they fail to comply, SCB is going to seize their property.

There are nearly 40,000 properties (with arrears for 2013-14 and December 2013). The owners of these properties have been served notices by SCB. These include commercial and domestic owners. More than 2,000 of these have not complied with.

The authorities are going to serve ‘form of warrant’ under the Cantonment Act, 2006 (Section 101) against these defaulters. The process of serving the notices is beginning on 3 February, 2014.
