All the traders and businessmen were asked by the GHMC to renew their trading license between 15th May and 14th June of this year to avoid the penalty.
GHMC officials said that all the people who want to renew their license and even the people who want to take the new ones should approach the e-seva centers or the citizen service centers of any municipal circular offices. If the businesses run without renewing the licenses, GHMC has the right to close ad seize the goods according to the HMC Act 1955.
In addition to the original fee, 25% of the original fee will be collected as penalty if the renewal is done between 15th June and 14th August. If the renewal is done after August 15th then the penalty will be increased to 50 % of the original fee along with the original fee.
