South Central Railway Bags Efficiency Shield Awards for its Performance in Major Areas

The Central Railway Ministry has declared the prestigious Govind Vallabh Pant Efficiently Shield for the year 2011-12 to the South Central Railways for its overall best performance in all the 17 zones of Indian Railways. This award is shared with the western Railways. Further, SCR has also bagged All India Performance Efficiency Shields for its best performance in six disciplines – Mechanical engineering, traffic transportation, civil engineering, level crossing and road over bridge safety works, stores and running room. South Central Railway got this award after a gap of 6 years.
