RTC Starts Issuing Student Bus Passes for the Academic Year 2012-13

The Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) is all set to issue concessional student bus passes for the academic year 2012-13.

According to sources, issuing of bus passes will begin on 10th June. The applications for the bus passes will be available for Rs. 4/- at all the 17 APSRTC bus stations in the city like Rathifile (Secunderabad), Old CBS, Gowliguda, Sanathnagar, Mehdipatnam, Charminar, Afzalgunj, Uppal, ECIL X Roads, Dilsukhnagar, Ibrahimpatnam, Medchal, Kacheguda, Kukatpally Quarters, Shapoornagar, BHEL (Keerthi Mahal), NGO’s colony and Hayathnagar.

Student general passes: Applications for student general bus pass (SGBT) both monthly and quarterly will be accepted between 21st and 29th of every month and computerized bus passes will be issued from 12th of the following month.

Student route passes: In case of student route passes, applications will be accepted between 10th and 19th of every month and bus passes will be issued from 22nd of the same month.

Student free passes: Similarly, student free pass applications will be accepted only between 10th June and 30th September and the passes will be issued after 10 days of submission of applications.

How to apply?
Applications duly filled in, attached with passport sized coloured photograph, sealed signed by head of the institution along with bonafide certificate have to be submitted at any one of the above mentioned 17 centres. Institution codes and course codes will be available on APSRTC website, www.apsrtc.net.

Students with bus passes can travel in Metro Express/Metro Deluxe buses by paying Rs. 7/- for a combi-ticket for a single trip.
