Mahindra Renault Pvt Ltd. (MRPL), the joint deal in which Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has declared a decrease in the prices of its brand ‘Logan’. The prices have been decreased to the range of Rs. 27,000 to Rs. 80,000 for its petrol Bharat Stage-III version and accordingly of Rs. 24,000 to Rs. 65,000 for its Bharat Stage-IV version. The new prices will come into existence from April 26.
Mahindra and Renault declared the reorganizing plans for their 51:49 joint venture, wherein M&M would purchase Renault’s share making MRPL a 100 per cent Mahindra Group possessed company. M&M will be in charge for the Logan in the Indian market and the Renault name and logo will be used on the Logan till the end of this year.
Moreover, over the transformation period of nearly 18 months, M&M will rename the car to a Mahindra-owned brand and from then, the car will only represent the Mahindra logo, generate a refresh and other changes in accordance with customer expectations and perform additional localization to decrease costs.
