Among the best 200 Asian Universities, University Of Hyderabad stood at the 81st position. This was according to rankings released by the QS Asian Universities, Quacquarelli Symonds (QS).
UoH is one among the five Indian universities among 200 world universities. The position is being achieved by scoring 60.5 and had been categorized for its “ Very High Research Activity in Specialist Activiteis” and is the first time for the university to be featured for ranking.
There are totally 12 Indian Institutions out of which there were 7 IIT’s and 5 Universities. In the field of IIT’s IIT Bombay is being ranked at 36 and in the case of universities, University of Delhi is at 67th position, University of Mumbai is at 96, University of Calcutta is at 99, University of Pune is at 109.
Only 11 countries have been represented in the top 200. Out of which Japanese universities occupied 57 positions, including 5 of them in top 10. The quality research, the ratio or the part of the international students and the staff are the measures which are being used for calculating the position.
