Once the Central Power Distribution Company Limited CPDCL) receives a nod from the Power Finance Corporation (PFC), our city will get safe and reliable power supply.
Power Finance Corporation announced that five hundred kilometers of 33-KV and 11 KV underground cabling and 300 kilometers of aerial-bunched cables have been proposed for the city. This is part of the Rs.600 crore project under phase-B of the Restricted Accelerated Power Development and Reforms Programme. It is said that they would implement this programme from 2010-11 to 2013-4-14.
Aerial-bunched 11-KV conductors will be used in areas where tree growth is heavy, and in congested areas with limited corridor. Aerial bunching of 150 kilometres of 11-KV conductors has already started on emergency basis and is supposed to get completed within two months.
CPDCL is said to take up construction of 25 new 33/11 KV substations in Malakpet, Tarnaka, Tolichowki, Moti Mahal, Hyderabad Public School, KIMS Hospital, Erramanzil, Chintal Basti, Koti, Basheerabgh, Kondapur, and in few more areas in Ranga Reddy district.
It has taken up provision of alternative power supply to the 33/11 KV substations of goshamahal, Begumpet Airport, Sanjeevaiah park and Bansilapet.
It is also said that once the company finishes the mapping services, automated mobile messages will be sent to consumers about power breakdowns in their localities.
