Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) along with the sponsors of State Bank Of Hyderabad and Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department are planning to sport the new signboards for indicating the localities as it has become difficult for identifying the localities.
These signboards are used to indicate directions as well as distances for various landmarks on one side. These also feature the monuments and attractions on other side. The material used in preparing the panels will be weather resistant with the reflective surface so that they are visible even during night time. The dimensions of the panels will be 3.5 X 2 feet. GHMC is planning to install 700 signs for 200 junctions of Greater Hyderabad. The existing signboards which have become old will be replaced by the new ones.
Many people who come from other places, are facing difficulties in identifying the localities. Thus making the City a tourist friendly one. Finally, this would give an international look to the city.
