Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board started sewer cleaning at night in major areas of the city using advanced air tech machines. The work had already started in areas of Secunderabad, Charminar, Yakutpura, Bahadurpura and Chandrayanagutta. The specific places where the work will take place are Engine Bowli cross road in Bahadurpura, Boudhanagar (Secunderabad), Santhosh nagar colony (yakutpura) Golconda cross road – RTC cross road (Musheerabad), Madina cross road – city college cross road (Charminar), Shankar sher hotel to Kummarwadi (Amberpet), Care hospital (Banjara Hills). This initiation is taken as a part of 100 day action plan by HMWS&SB, for improving civic amenities in the city.
Sewer works in areas like Seriligampally, Qutubullapur, Patancheru, Malkajgiri, Rajendranagar, Uppal and Maheshwaram are under GHMC.
