01 April 2011: Seven huge fountains in Hussainsagar are going to be displayed from this month. These fountains can raise the water jet up to 20 meters high. This project was handled by HMDA (Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority) with a total budget of Rs. 1 crore. These fountains are said to add up to the beauty of the lake and assist in improving the aeration of the lake by providing enough oxygen. This improves the quality of the lake water. Apart from the fountains, bright illumination lights are also said to be set up at the lake.
