‘Bol Hyderabad’, New Radio Station Launched by UoH Students

16 Aug 11: The students of University of Hyderabad have launched a new radio station called ‘Bol Hyderabad’ at a frequency of 90.4 FM. With a main aim of bringing back the old radio culture, the programs are designed accordingly without any commercialization. This station will have classical music, art and radio theater, besides broadcasting entertainment programs.

This FM station is mainly aimed to promote the Hyderabad culture and address the issues of its listeners. This station will cater only to the areas which are within 10Km radius of the university. Ideas are welcomed from students, civil servants, NGO’s, educationists and IT professionals. Bol Hyderabad will have programs in English, Hindi, Urdu and Telugu. It will be braodcasted from 7.30 am to 9am, from 1 pm to 3.30 pm and again from 5 pm to 9 pm.

The Radio Advisory Council (RAC) is guiding the station. In order to encourage the team of Bol Hyderabad, RAC has included members from university community, people living around, schools, institutions of higher learning and community representatives.
