Medical Council of India has announced that the common medical entrance test ‘National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET)’, will be conducted for the academic year 2013-14, i.e., it will be conducted in May 2014. The MCI has also uploaded the final syllabus for the NEET 2014 in its website. Therefore, the students who are taking admission in to intermediate in this year (2012 – 2013), will have to qualify NEET in 2014, so as to get admission in to MBBS course all over the country.
Hence, the Bi.P.C students who took admissions in to Intermediate in 2011-12 academic year will have to appear for EAMCET in May 2013, as usual.
Previously, MCI has decided to conduct the first NEET in 2013, but as it was opposed by many states, it was delayed by one year.
Qualifying NEET will enable students to get in to various MBBS courses in 271 colleges across the country, 138 public institutions and 133 private colleges. Altogether, these colleges offer around 31,000 MBBS seats.
