Hyderabad will soon have a replica of BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange Ltd.) and it will act as a DRS (back-up bourse and a data recovery site).
According to BSE Managing Director and CEO, BSE will switch operations between Mumbai and Hyderabad from time to time. This is to protect the operations and financial system in the event of any terror strike or accident. The duration and time of switch-off and switch-on would be monitored and determined by the SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India).
The Hyderabad DRS would start operations initially with about fifty employees and the number will go up gradually as operations go up. It would be an exact replica of Mumbai’s BSE production site in terms of feel, look and operations.
