Eamcet Exam – 2016 is to be held on May 02, 2016

After bifurcation from Andhra Pradesh, the Telangana state has started conducting separate EAMCET from 2015 onwards and the same procedure is going to continue this year too. The TS EAMCET date has already been announced as May 2nd, 2016. The exam will be conducted by JNTU (Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University) Hyderabad, on behalf of Telangana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE) to get admission into various government and private colleges for engineering, medical and agricultural courses.

Key details:

  • The students must have necessarily secured 45% marks in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) in class 12th to apply for engineering courses and 50% marks in PCB (Physics, Chemistry and Biological sciences) for medical courses (Exception: Only 40% for reserved category candidates).
  • The candidates can fill the application form for the exam only through online mode. The candidates can pay their fees either in e-seva centers or through online payment using credit/debit card or Net Banking.
  • For Engineering the application form fee is Rs. 500/- (Rs 250/- for SC/ST) and for Agriculture and Medical exam the application fee is Rs. 500/- (250/- in case of SC/ST). The students who are appearing for both the exams must pay application fees of Rs. 1000/- (Rs 500/- for SC/ST).

Important dates for EAMCET writing candidates:


  • Submission of online application will start from : 28th February 2016.
  • Last date for online application without late fee: 28th March, 2016.
  • Corrections in the application will be allowed from : April 03, 2016 to April 13, 2016.
  • Last date to submit online application form with late fee of Rs 500/- is : April 03, 2016.
  • Last date to submit online application form with late fee of Rs 1,000/- is : April 13, 2016.
  • Last date to submit online application form with late fee of Rs 5,000/- is : April 22, 2016.
  • Last date to submit online application form with late fee of Rs 10,000/- is : April 29, 2016.
  • Hall tickets can be obtained from : April 24, 2016 to April 30, 2016.
  • EAMCET entrance exam date : May 02, 2016.
  • Results expected : Fourth week of May, 2016.
  • Counselling is expected to begin from : Third week of June, 2016.
