Security has been tightened by Cyberabad police in the IT entrance way and along Outer Ring Road (ORR). More check posts are to be added, more new patrol vehicles and about 80 police personnel will be posted at strategic locations.
The decision has been made in view of the assaults on women happening in the city over the past few months. A recent incident has prompted police to take these measures.
The security formula includes increase in public transport, regulating autos and taxis, installing surveillance cameras and deploying more police personnel.
APSRTC launched 40 buses on 5 new routes that connects Bachupally-Waverock in Nanakramguda, Lingampally-Waverock and other IT entrances on Tuesday. These buses are meant for IT industry employees so that they can avoid taxis and autos.
It is safe especially for women to travel in RTC buses. Moreover, IT industry employees should make best and possible use of these services.
