Citizen Service Centers for 17 Municipal Services

GHMC officially started operating citizen service centres after inaguaration by the commissioner and city mayor at Abids. The full operation of the centres will start from next month. There are 18 circle offices out of which one is the head office, and a person can avail 17 municipal services at one place.

For the effective delivery of the services some time-lines have been established. An employee who cannot complete the service within the given time will be supposed to pay a fine of Rs.50. The fine will be collected by deducting it from his salary.

Several types of applications can be filed for different services by the citizens and the timings will be from 8 a.m to 8 p.m. Services like building permissions: 15 days time, certified copy of building permission: 15 days, occupancy certificate: 30 days, assessment/reassessment of property tax: 13 days, revision petition on property tax: 30 days, mutation/transfer of property: 25 days, certified copy of assessment register: seven days, trade license certificate: 25 days, sanitation certificate: seven days, temporary use of parks/community hall/sports facilities: 10 days, tree pruning: three days, veternary trade license certificate: eight days, Registration of the pet dogs: seven days, road cutting permission for individuals: 15 days, extract of electoral roll: three days and general grievances: up to 15 days.


Fully filled applications will only be accepted and after the submission of the application form, an acknowledgment receipt will be issued to the applicant with date and time on which the permission or the certificate is issued. The issuing time for the permissions and the applications will be from 2 p.m to 5 p.m.

Automatic alerts for the delay of the services will be given to the concerned zonal or additional commissioner by the flow management system with an automatic message.

The commissioner of GHMC, also ordered the officials, to set the drop boxes, at all the centres, for dropping the feed back forms by the citizens. Also the commissioner said that the examination of the feedback forms should be done carefully by the additional Commissioners of Information Technology Of Health and Sanitation Department.
